Greg wrote to us the middle of our silly season, January 2007) to say: Looking at your picture of the Delphiniums and Roses, here is my version from our past summer. I ended up with a lot of plants and will have to work on creating more beds to house them all (no problem!). With a wide variety of colors and a lot of plants, I was surprised at how long the delphiniums were in bloom for from late spring into early fall. The midsummer heat held them back a bit but them seemed to come right back with some irrigation. (It does not reain here in the summer) We have good loamy soil but next time I think I will dig in some sheep manure to go after bigger and taller plants.
