Ross in Canada wrote to us recently. He says:
I live just outside Toronto (2Hrs), just north of Belleville.
Our zone is 5b (-20 to 35C approx).
I have included a couple of pics to show the results from the last growing season, which was very wet and dark.
I was pleased with the germination rates and all-in-all had a pretty good showing from most of the varieties. Nearly all of the seedlings threw lovely blooms in their first year, which surprised. I am looking forward to the second year display... it should be remarkable.
I have a flower garden of which your delphiniums are the "crown Jewell". I am playing with settings / micro climates / soil structure and nutrients. So far so good. Looking forward to starting again, a new crop of your seed this year.
I have included a couple of photos to go with the others showing the garden view and one that is quite facinating of the wild life in the garden.
These are beautiful photos - but I especially like the one with the butterfly on the orange zinnia with the humming bird hovering close by. Click it so it is full screen, its just wonderful. |
