I purchased delphinium seeds from you last year and they germinated very well, and very quickly. In May I set out the very healthy delphinium seedlings in a new flower bed and they did quite well until a 70-foot white pine fell on them in a storm in July. After we got the tree cleared away (what a mess) managed to put most of the delphiniums back in order. They grew well all the rest of summer and I am looking forward to some rather spectacular flowers this summer.
and John added the next day:
You may certainly use my delphinium story. It took my landlord, Mr. Allen Novak several days to cut up the fallen tree and remove it. I counted the rings and that tree was between 85 and 90 years old, incidentally.
So, what's the score on this one? Deuce, advantage tree?
